I hope they call me Henry when I die, too.

I have never seen, nor do i have any intention of ever seeing 'Twilight', but there is no way - in a million years - that you could convince me that that film has more heart than that other Kristen Stewart movie, 'Adventureland.' Not possible. Not by a long shot. No way.

I mean, I for one can't really relate to emo vampires, but I can totally relate to that amazing time in your life, when you are just out of school...that intoxicating mix of wanderlust, angst, hopefulness, fear, and awe. That I get, and 'Adventureland' lets that play out better than almost any move I have ever seen. It was low key, and brililant. Oh, and the soundtrack...so, so perfect! For that, we have Yo La Tengo to thank...kudos YLT, 1987 never sounded so great!

The Replacements - 'Left Of The Dial'

Missed Connections musical dedication of the day

Nephew...suuuuuuuuuuure. I really hope the nephew story is legit and he doesn't actually hang out at Chuck E Cheese to meet women.

Chuck E Cheese - m4w

i doubt you will read this, but what the hell. i was in Chuck e cheese (hamilton rd) last night for my nephews b-day. i had a dark blue shirt on and was sitting in the corner by the roller coaster game. you are a beautiful, tall, slim blonde. you had a yellow shirt on and jeans that made your butt look so good. if you read this and are interested in meeting up sometime, email me and tell me what your shirt said.

All The Albums I've Loved Before: "Tim"

I have to come clean on this one. I got to the Replacements party WAY late. But considering that I was nine when this album came out in 1985, don't judge me TOO harshly. Part of it was do to my sheltered musical life growing up in hip hop and metal obsessed Columbus, Ohio and some of it has to do with my lack of a social life. I just didn't know stuff like this even existed. I vaguely remember the 'speaker' videos playing REALLY late at night on MTV, but for years that was my only exposure to the Replacements.

But once I finally ememrged from high school and into the real world, a brave new musical world opened up for me! And The Replacements record 'Tim' was one of the first albums I latched onto! Songs like "Bastards Of The Young", "Left Of The Dial", and my all time favorite Paul Westerberg penned tune, "Here Comes A Regular" are just amazing tracks that totally stand the test of time.
