My confession (I don't care)

I am 25 years old. My father and mother come from Lebanon, so yes, I am a Muslim. I've lived in America my whole life. I don't really practice Islam even though I tell my father that I do.
According to my religion I am not supposed to partake of pork. Last month I mistakenly ate some bacon. I LOVED IT! I never had it before so I never knew how freaking delicious it can be. Ever since then I have been buying pounds of bacon and eating it, for breakfast with eggs and toast, for lunch making BLT's, and for dinner in a salad or as I tried last night, bacon wrapped scallops.
I'm thinking that this whole not eating pork thing is a farce. Tonight, its BBQ ribs.
If my father ever found out I would never hear the end of it.

Hi. If you're looking for a guy who is intelligent, witty, education and fun, look no further. Obviously, I am a Christian, and I would only date a woman who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I have very little baggage. I've never been married and have no children. I can accept your children if they can accept me. I do love kids, but I'm not looking to start a new family. My interests include Bible study, baseball, hiking, '70s music, reading, board games and road trips. Politically I am conservative; no Obama supporters please. Non-smokers, non-drug users only. I am definitely NOT "420 friendly!" I'm a big guy, but healthy and active. I just finished a hiking trip in Colorado. I'm 5-11 and about 270. I have plenty of photos available.*****
Is it weird that overtly Christian people creep me out?? Seriously...nothing makes me lose interest in a person faster....also, this post gives me an excuse to play a Thermals song ;-)

There is something about this new Lukestar record that makes me want to drive really, really fast. Seriously, every time I play it I see myself racing through some European freeway in a German sports car...oh the power of music!
Back to reality...it's October in Ohio...and this record is just really, really cool.

Sometimes I lose track of some of my favorite bands the way I lose track of old friends...they may be out of sight, but not out of mind. I never really forgot about Her Space Holiday, but to be honest I wasn't sure if there was anything new coming out...I had no idea what the status was. Until this morning. I woke up and read a review of the new album and it it was like hearing from an old friend. Instant smile.
I am listening to the new record, 'XOXO Panda(The New Kid Revival)' as I type this...a little more folky, but the witty and wordtastic lyrics most definitely still in tact...I am loving it. Here is a track for you, and I may just use this song title for my next Guitar Hero band name:

Facts About Funerals is Seattle singer/songwriter Rob Sharp. And this album, 'Love Songs And Funeral Homes' is absolutely gorgeous. Some really heart-breakingly beautiful songs on here.
How can you not love an album that takes its name from a Daniel Johnson quote??Love songs and funeral homes...what Mr. Johnson considers all music to be about.
