Readers of my blog, meet my new favorite band- Bottle Up & Go, new favorite band...these are my blog readers. Yeah, I know...there are only three...I am a blog dance wallflower, what can I say. But it's quality, not quantity, right? But I digress....and now that we have the awkward introduction out of the way I just gotta say that this record has rocked my world.
'These Bones' is only a seven song collection, but you have to play it straight through. The tracks bleed seamlessly together...just like a side of a record. It's this amazing mix of blues and psychedelic rock(imagine the Black Keys VS John Spencer Blues Explosion) but it never sounds dated or rehashed. Pick it up if you get the chance, and let it spin...and spin...and spin.

My musical obsessed mind has forced me into posting once more today. When I was listening to Roky Erickson earlier I was reminded of just how much fun his stuff is(be it solo or with the 13th Floor Elevators) ...so I wanted to share a couple more of my favorites.
The first one was immortalized in movie mix tape from thanks to John Cusack, and the second one is my all time favorite Roky song...rock on.

As the title says, I was all decked out in fishnets, heels, leather jacket, etc. at Skully's for 80's night yesterday. I "met" some fun people and just wanted to say thanks for the dancing to all of you. -princess leia -chuck norris, michael jackson, good fairy, biker dude (all girls) And a special thanks to Dead Sarah Palin (Mona?). It was great meeting you/talking. I embarrissingly either drank too much too fast, or got slipped something in my drink and ended up passing out in the bathroom? All I know is I woke up at the hospital. I guess there is a first for everything. Consequently, I never got your number...nor do I remember much of what I got into last night. I think we kissed a little? If you can fill in the gaps (as embarrassing as they may be), I'd appreciate it. I don't like not knowing what I may or may not have done. Thanks! ******

Only 3 days left! And can I say that this election can not come soon enough. It's brutal living in a battleground state during the electoral process. Last night, and I am not making this up, I got a phone call from Pat Boone(it was recorded, but still super creepy) begging me to vote for McCain. Which I will now do. Seriously, I have been a huge Obama backer since the primaries but this one phone call from the totally relevant Pat Boone has swayed me. Nice strategy Republican party...brilliant.
