Kim Kardashian, Genius Of The World

So...i love to peruse the 'celebrity playlist' page of Itunes, and I just had to see what Kim Kardashian's ipod had to offer. But first of all, can one of you tell me who Kim Kardashian is? She has her own reality show right? Is she famous for any other reason? Being without a TV for 7 months has left me pop culture illiterate(and I have to say, ignorance really is bliss).

Anyway, her list was as bad as you would expect. EVERY song is on that one station in your town that only plays a rotation of like 15 songs on a constant loop. You know the one. They have the zany morning team and all of the DJ's have the shrillest, most annoying voices. It was from THAT station that our celebrity has culled her playlist.

I will leave you with this poetic description of one her selections:

"Show Stopper - Danity Kane"

"This song reminds me of clubbing with my girls! Every girl with confidence is a show stopper! And my bff Audrey is in the group Danity Kane"

Danity Kane. Anyone? Never heard a single note. And I love how she starts in with the 'after school special' sort of mantra "every girl with confidence is a show stopper"...only to be distracted a moment later by the opportunity to name drop her 'bff'.

PS
Ellen Page's playlist was amazing. Here is one of her picks:

New Young Pony Club

Ever here a song or a band for the first time and, against your better judgement, you fall in love with the sound anyway? That is the trick that 'New Young Pony Club' played on me.

After stumbling across their youtube video for the single 'Ice Cream' I was hooked, but hooked with that guilty feeling. The song is SO catchy and the band looks SO over the top that it had to be a fluke right? I mean the rest of the album was going to be horrible, right?(Anyone remember Chumbawamba?)

Wrong. I forced myself to spin the entire disc, titled 'Fantastic Playroom', and it is a blast. Just a great record...i was blown away by how much I like it...which is really starting to help erase that 'guilty pleasure' label I had stuck on these guys.

Now I will put this song in your head...for hours...i apologize in advance, it's just THAT infectious.
