If I haven't mentioned it already, ApSci's 'Best Crisis Ever' is one of the funnest records of the year. There is so much happening musically on this album, I hear something new almost every time I spin it.
Today I am digging their version of one of my favorite vintage R.E.M. songs, 'Swan Swan H.' I am going to post both versions...give em a listen...talk about making a song your own!

My inner geek can't help but to love a band that names itself after a college course. Apsci are a husband and wife duo out out of New York who specialize in genre-bending awesomeness. Their previous records were rooted in hip ho yet veered off that course from time to time, but this new record (Best Crisis Ever)is all over the map - sonically speaking - and it's a beautiful thing. The digital version of the album is available everywhere now...you will have to wait til September for a hard copy.
