If you're a shaggy blonde, and looked directly into my eyes today, even for a microsecond, it must mean you are very sexually attracted to me, and want to bed me down!
I wish SOMEBODY would sleep with me soon, this ol' queen's about to blow a gasket!

Ray Lamontagne & Damien Rice - 'To Love Somebody' MP3

Cheers Darlin'

I couldn't let a St Patrick's Day go by without a mention of Damien Rice. The album 'O' was the soundtrack for a less than great year for me, and I am not sure I can imagine dealing with all of the the things that were going on there with that record.

This a special dedication to anyone out there who has ever had somebody leave their life, and even though it didn't seem like it at the time, you were much better off for it.

Bell X1 - 'Flock'

I am way late to the party on this one as usual. 'Bell X1' are a group of fine Irish men who used to play in an outfit with Damien Rice called Juniper. I believe this album was initially released in the UK in 2006, however wasn't released here in the states until this past February.

This set of songs is not nearly as quiet as the gorgeous music Damien Rice has gone on to make, but it is no less impressive. A great record, potent, powerful lyrics and the music to back it up.

Here are a couple of my favorite cuts. "Rocky Took A Lover" is just brilliant, and ANYONE who has ever attempted to write a song needs to listen to "My First Born For A Song"
