Since the commercial is the new music video


One of the great alt-rock one hit wonders of my generation has been given new life by a Cadillac commercial I have seen all over televesion the last couple of weeks. The song in question is Hum's' 'Stars' which I belive came out way back in 1995 on their album 'You'd Prefer An Astronaut.'

I am fascinated by the one hit wonders and what it does to the lives of the artists, bands like this, that just sort of fade away...but they were able to it catch lightning in a bottle for 4 glorious minutes in a song that EVERYBODY knows the words too...as far as rock careers go, sometimes I think it really is better to burn out as opposed to fading away.
