I have been pretty lucky in my musical life and seen ALMOST all of the bands that have meant something to me over the years. Growing up in Columbus, OH that meant a lot of road trips to places like NYC, Chicago, Indianapolis, Miluakee, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Even several trips to Coachella.
But a few of my favorites have eluded me over the years. I never got to see Alice in Chaings(with Layne Staley - and I have no desire to see them without). I have never seen Steve Earle OR Lucinda Williams. But the one that I think gets to me the most is never seeing Lou Barlow or Sebadoh. Man, I LOVED those early Sebadoh records, and Barlow's solo disc 'Emoh'.
I am still keeping my fingers crossed and my eyes peeled for a Sebadoh tour, until then...here is my favorite Barlow penned tune, 'Holding Back The Year'.
