Alt-country's original gangstas

Once I stumbled onto the gentle twang of 'alt-country' with records like the Jayhawk;s 'Tomorrow The Green Grass' and Uncle Tupelo's 'Anodyne' I was pretty much hooked. Eventually I finally got around to getting into the roots of this sort of sound, and I fell in love with The Byrds and especially Gram Parsons.

Here's to working your way back through the history of rock n'roll!

I am passing along a Byrds song off of my favorite album of theirs, 'Younger Than Yesterday' and a couple of my favorite covers of Gram Parsons songs...classic stuff. The Norah Jones version of 'She' is amazing.
